Al Riskowski – Executive Director
Al Riskowski has been the executive director of Nebraska Family Alliance since 2001. Prior to becoming executive director of Nebraska Family Alliance he served as a pastor for over 25 years in churches across the Midwest. Al and his wife Linda were married in 1972 and have raised four children.
Al currently serves on the Governor’s Task Force on Human Trafficking and a Nebraska Legislative Committee to craft laws fighting this hidden crime.
Al continues to educate and be a voice at the State Capitol on issues related to the family. He is committed to mobilizing, educating and equipping Nebraskans to be engaged in the transformation of their communities.
Dave Bydalek – Policy Director
Dave Bydalek is the Policy Director of Nebraska Family Alliance. He attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, where he received a undergraduate degree in Accounting, and then attended the UNL College of Law.
After graduation from law school, he worked as a Nebraska Assistant Attorney General, where he argued over 100 cases before the Nebraska Supreme Court, the Nebraska Court of Appeals, and the Federal 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
After his tenure at the AG’s office, he served in the administration of Governor Mike Johanns as a chief policy advisor for two legislative sessions. He then founded Family First in 2000 and worked there as the executive director for 13 years.
Dave and his wife Tanya have been married for 25 years and have raised four children. He is an elder at Redeemer Church in Lincoln and coaches youth basketball.
Karen Bowling – Outreach and Operations Director
Karen owned an interior decorating business in Lincoln, Nebraska for 25 years before bringing her business management skills to the NFA Team in 2001.
Karen’s passion is networking and community outreach. She established NFA’s state-wide Intercessory Prayer Network that now reaches over 1,500 individuals and organizations in 275 Nebraska communities. She is the State Coordinator for the National Day of Prayer and provides daily leadership for the Nebraska House of Prayer located in the NFA facility. Karen coordinates NFA’s grassroots efforts, volunteers, special events, and lobbies for sanctity of life concerns.
Karen has two adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and four grandkids that keep her busy, laughing, and young at heart. She enjoys speaking, volunteering at her church and mentoring young women.
Hallie Hamilton – Communication and Office Coordinator
Hallie graduated from UNL in 2012 with degrees in Political Science and Communication Studies and joined the NFA team shortly thereafter. Her role at NFA is to edit and produce our daily radio programs, help with grassroots mobilization, and help keep the office running smoothly.
Hallie is passionate about political philosophy and finding effective ways to communicate difficult issues in the public square. Her faith in Christ affects every aspect of her life. Hallie likes to appreciate the little things: bike rides in the fall, sipping a cup of coffee on the porch, running with friends, competing in the occasional triathlon, and spending time with her husband, Phil.
