Al Riskowski has been the executive director of Nebraska Family Alliance since 2001. Prior to becoming executive director of Nebraska Family Alliance he served as a pastor for over 25 years in churches across the Midwest. Al and his wife Linda were married in 1972 and have raised four children.
Al currently serves on the Governor’s Task Force on Human Trafficking and a Nebraska Legislative Committee to craft laws fighting this hidden crime.
Al continues to educate and be a voice at the State Capitol on issues related to the family. He is committed to mobilizing, educating and equipping Nebraskans to be engaged in the transformation of their communities.
Karen owned an interior decorating business in Lincoln, Nebraska for 25 years before bringing her business management skills to the NFA Team in 2001.
Karen’s passion is networking and community outreach. She established NFA’s state-wide Intercessory Prayer Network that now reaches over 1,500 individuals and organizations in 275 Nebraska communities. She is the State Coordinator for the National Day of Prayer and provides daily leadership for the Nebraska House of Prayer located in the NFA facility. Karen coordinates NFA’s grassroots efforts, volunteers, special events, and lobbies for sanctity of life concerns.
Karen has two adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and four grandkids that keep her busy, laughing, and young at heart. She enjoys speaking, volunteering at her church and mentoring young women.
Hallie graduated from UNL in 2012 with degrees in Political Science and Communication Studies and joined the NFA team shortly thereafter. Her role at NFA is to edit and produce our daily radio programs, keep our website and social media up to date and help with writing projects.
Hallie is passionate about political philosophy and finding effective ways to communicate difficult issues in the public square. Her faith in Christ affects every aspect of her life. Hallie likes to appreciate the little things: bike rides in the fall, sipping a cup of coffee on the porch, running with friends, competing in the occasional triathlon, and spending time with her husband, Phil.
Margaret Alberts – Administrative Assistant
Margaret earned her BAE from Wayne State College and served as a secondary mathematics educator and coach. She has also served the Lincoln community as a high school administrator as well as a firefighter and paramedic.
Recently, Margaret developed a heart for missions. She has participated in six missions trips to Siberia, Ukraine, and Moldova and engages in language study. She is passionate about prayer, preserving healthy family systems and empowering people to achieve their full potential.
Margaret’s interests are Bible study, photography, walking and hiking in the mountains. She enjoys time with family and friends, volunteer work, movies, and games. Margaret is joining the NFA team with a heart full of love and hands that are willing to do whatever is necessary.
Sheree Brown – Bookkeeper
Sheree graduated from Bellevue University with a business management degree and has worked in the financial industry for most of her career. She is now using her financial expertise to bless NFA. Sheree enjoys volunteering at the church where her husband is a pastor. She has coordinated women’s groups, taught classes on marriage and family, and coordinated her church’s Stephen Ministry.
She is passionate about her family including her husband Terry, their three grown children and their spouses, and her nine grandchildren. She also enjoys sewing, quilting, and mentoring women.
