The Nebraska Legislature is back in session, and already bills are being introduced and debated that will have a major impact on families, freedom, and life in our state.

Last week, on the first day of session, Senator Julie Slama introduced the Nebraska Heartbeat Act to protect unborn babies when a heartbeat can be detected.

Senator Joni Albrecht also introduced legislation, LB 768, to protect children and parental rights by preventing the State Board of Education from adopting or promoting sex-ed health standards.

These are just two of the many bills the NFA team will be monitoring and advocating for this session.

Now, the full legislature is expected to debate an important school choice bill, LB 364, early this week!

Help support kids and families in Nebraska by contacting your state senator and urge them to support LB 364, the Opportunity Scholarships Act, to create greater choice and freedom in education.

Would you please be praying for the NFA team and our state senators during this important season?

Let us not forget our elected leaders are also parents, spouses, friends, and neighbors. They face the same pressures we do every day, yet their public role means their decisions impact thousands.

Sign-up for NFA’s “Adopt a Leader in Prayer” program, and NFA will send you a free prayer resource packet. It includes prayer guides and a magnetic photo of your state senator to help remind you to pray daily for your elected leaders.

Request a free “Adopt a Leader” packet and commit to pray for your state senator!

Nebraska Family Alliance is honored to serve you and your family as we work towards our vision to see Nebraska become a place where God is honored, families thrive, life is cherished, parental rights are protected, and religious freedom flourishes.

We are humbled by your continued generosity. Your support enables us to advocate on behalf of the voiceless, advance Biblical principles, and represent your family at the intersection of faith, government, and culture in 2022 and for generations to come!
