The NFA Daily Spotlight: Parents As The Primary Educators Of Their Children
May is Homeschool Awareness Month, and this week’s guest on the NFA Daily Spotlight is Liz Davids, a Lincoln mom and home educator. Liz is a mother to five and recently expanded her learning co-op to a group of fourteen children. Parents have a Biblical responsibility to be involved and engaged in their children’s education, and homeschooling provides an opportunity for parents to give their children an education that aligns with their family and religious values. Nebraska Family Alliance was founded by a group of concerned parents who believed parents have the fundamental right to direct the education and upbringing of their children, and since 1988, NFA has been instrumental in advancing legislation that supports educational freedom in our state.
