Nebraska: A Firewall for Families and Freedom

Thank you for praying, speaking out, and standing for truth this election. While our nation grapples with challenging election results and a dangerous step toward socialism nationwide, one state stands out: Nebraska. 

You prayed, you stood in the gap for families, and you helped make Nebraska a firewall against the growing threats to our families, children, and freedoms.

We are grateful to share that Initiative 442 passed with overwhelming support to fully protect girls’ sports in the Nebraska Constitution, and in an outcome few thought possible, we voted down online sports betting and defeated Initiatives 440 and 441!

This is one of the greatest David vs. Goliath victories in modern political history. Nebraskans stood up to powerful gambling corporations with seemingly limitless resources and refused to let them buy their way into our state.

From the beginning, NFA led the charge to expose these initiatives for what they really were: a scheme to expand online gambling and enrich out-of-state gambling corporations at the expense of Nebraska families, children, and student-athletes.

Despite gambling companies spending over $20 million, we knew there was too much at stake—for our families, for our children, and for the future of Nebraska—to stay silent. 

We educated. We mobilized. We prayed. And the people of God responded.

NFA published and distributed over 50,000 copies of our first-ever physical voter guide, and our online voter guide had more than 110,000 users. 

Our resources reached hundreds of thousands of voters, and while powerful forces and outside voices told us they couldn’t be stopped, we never gave up, because they didn’t have the truth. And they didn’t have you. 

Thank you for praying, standing up, speaking out, and making your voice heard at the ballot box. 

Online sports betting initiatives 440 and 441 were defeated 45%–55%, and Fairness for Girls, Initiative 442, passed 68%–32%.

This is what’s possible when we pray, vote, and engage faithfully.

Because of your support, NFA was the leading voice behind both protecting girls’ sports and stopping online gambling, and our voter guide and election resources reached and equipped more people this election than ever before. 

We are grateful for everyone who stood with us to defend family, freedom, and life in Nebraska.

Whatever the results, our calling is bigger than any election, because God hasn’t called us to be successful; He’s called us to be faithful. 

That means being salt and light—not just on Election Day, but every day: standing for truth, defending the vulnerable, strengthening families, and bringing the hope of Christ into a world that desperately needs it.

Our commitment to defend life and contend for truth doesn’t begin and end at the ballot box.

So let’s keep praying. Let’s keep speaking up. And let’s keep influencing government and culture with Biblical truth. 

It is an honor to stand alongside you as we continue advancing family, freedom, and life. We believe God is not done with Nebraska, and we are determined to remain faithful to the work He has called us to do.
