Episode 9: Exclusive Interview with Nebraska Lt. Governor Mike Foley

[spp-player]

The Lt. Governor has the honor of serving as the President of the Nebraska Legislature. As the President of the Legislature, the Lt. Governor presides over the process, coordinates the votes and amendments, calls on speakers, keeps track of their time, and implements the rules of the legislature. He even gets to cast a vote if there is a tie.

This position gives Lt. Governor Foley an interesting perspective about the happenings of the Legislature. The Lt. Governor has had a birds eye view of an unprecedented, and “extraordinary year” as he describes it.

Listen to this week’s episode to find out more about the Lt. Governor’s view of this legislative session, the priorities of Governor Pete Ricketts, potential change coming to Nebraska taxes, and much more!
