The Nebraska Legislature adjourned for the year on Monday, and today, we joined Governor Pillen and state senators for a special ceremony where LB 89, the Stand with Women Act, was officially signed into law.

This law preserves fairness, safety, and common sense by ensuring girls’ sports are for girls, making Nebraska the 26th state in the nation to protect girls’ sports!

Coming into this year’s session, early reports indicated there wouldn’t be 33 votes to pass legislation to keep men out of girls’ sports, and online sports gambling was all but guaranteed to pass. But all year, God was working behind the scenes.

Through many ups and downs, you played a crucial role in securing several major victories and thwarting extreme efforts that would harm children and families.

From the Stand with Women Act to bills to crack down on digital child abuse, protect parental rights, and establish an adoption tax credit, eight NFA-supported bills passed into law this session, and every bill opposed by NFA was successfully defeated.

These victories are only possible because Godly men and women like you are praying, voting, and engaging—for life, for family, and for religious freedom.

But while there is good news to share, we must remain vigilant together. Other pro-life bills and efforts to allow students to learn about the Bible during the school day fell short. We are still actively working to help advance legislation through Congress to defund big abortion and gender transition procedures, and to impact culture with Biblical truth and win hearts and minds.

While the legislature has adjourned, our work continues. Your prayers and support enable NFA to effectively influence policy, mobilize prayer, and empower people to make a difference today and for generations to come.
