Forty-nine years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down legal protections for the preborn in the Roe v. Wade decision. In a courageous proclamation, Governor Pete Ricketts urged Nebraskans to pray and declared January 22, 2022, a Statewide Day of Prayer to End Abortion. Governor Ricketts’ declaration is a historic opportunity for us to unite in prayer for the preborn, mothers and fathers, and abortion clinic employees.

Nebraska is a pro-life state that values the dignity of every human life. Today, we remember the precious, preborn lives ended by abortion, ask God to forgive our nation, and commit to boldly stand for life. In the coming days, we will continue to advance a culture of life by advocating for women and their babies at the Nebraska Legislature and in the courts. Download and share our prayer points as we unite across the state in prayer for an end to abortion.

You saw me before I was born. My days were formed—and every moment of my life ordained—before they even came to be. Psalm 139:16
