Ep. 83 – Profit Over People: Senators Block Bill Protecting Women from Trafficking & Forced Abortions
In a shocking vote, the Nebraska Legislature failed to advance a bill to protect women from human trafficking and forced abortions by two votes after pro-choice senators filibustered the bill and blocked common-sense protections.
LB 669 would require abortion providers to screen for coercion, domestic violence, and human trafficking before performing an abortion, and ensure women were informed of available resources.
