The NFA Daily Spotlight: Celebrate & Remember Christ’s Coming
This week on the Daily Spotlight, Elizabeth Nunnally celebrates the season of Advent. The word “advent” simply means “coming.” For Christians, it represents our celebration of Christ’s first coming. The birth of the Messiah was promised in the Old Testament and was anticipated by God’s people for a very long time. Celebrating Advent as a family is a perfect opportunity to create meaningful traditions that point to the real reason we celebrate Christmas. That God promised to send his one and only son, to be our Messiah, and that Jesus fulfilled those prophecies.
