U.S. Senate Rejects Latest Attempt to Defund Abortion Providers

The United States Senate held a vote last week on an amendment to defund Planned Parenthood.

Introduced by Senator Rand Paul as an amendment to a Senate appropriations package, the vote failed to garner enough support to pass the 60-vote threshold and failed with 45 Yes and 48 No votes.

Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse was an original co-sponsor of the amendment.
