On Friday, July 8th, Nebraska joined 9 other states to oppose President Obama’s one-size-fits-all “transgender guidelines” for all K-12 schools, universities, and colleges. In June, 11 other states filed a similar lawsuit.

Why 21 States are Suing the Federal Government

Lawsuit Filed against Obama

The Obama administration sent a letter to our nation’s schools threatening them with loss of federal funds if they refused to reinterpret Title IX to include gender identity and sexual orientation. Doing so would mean that schools would be required to allow students to use bathrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, and participate in athletics and activities without regard to their biological sex.

Many across the nation are standing to oppose these radical policies. The privacy and safety of our children are not areas that moms and dads are willing to compromise.

How One Mom is Making a Difference

One mom unwilling to compromise is Bethany, a former White House staffer turned stay-at-home mom from Virginia. Bethany had a vision for the United We Stand campaign. Here’s what she had to say in a recent article for The Daily Signal:

Because the national edict was approved by the White House, it can be stopped by the White House, so I knew that our outcry had to start there. My plan of response is simple. On Tuesday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. EST, I and legions of others will inundate the White House comment line (202-456-1111) to respectfully say “NO” to Obama’s bathroom policies. And we will do so in numbers that will certainly get the White House’s attention.”
