As Christian citizens, we have the responsibility to be well-informed and elect leaders who support Biblical principles. Tomorrow, we have the opportunity to shape the future of our city by voting in Lincoln’s municipal elections to decide which candidates for city council, airport authority, and school board will advance to the General Election.

Make your voice heard in the Lincoln City Primary Election tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8, and mark your calendar for the General Election on Tuesday, May 6. The polls are open from 8 AM to 8 PM, and mail-in ballots must be returned by 8 PM on Election Day.

Before You Head To The Polls:

Remember to bring a valid photo ID with you to cast your ballot. Lincoln’s city elections are nonpartisan races, meaning you won’t see any party affiliation next to the candidates’ names on your ballot.

To help you make an informed decision, Nebraska Family Alliance researched the candidates and compiled an online election guide with everything you need to know about the candidates appearing on your ballot, which you can take with you into your polling precinct!

On our voter guide, you’ll find responses to our candidate survey, party affiliation, incumbency status, and links to the candidates’ websites to learn more about where they stand on the issues.

You’ll also be able to access upcoming election deadlines, a sample ballot, and information about your polling place! While the deadline to request an absentee ballot for the Primary has passed, you can still request a mail-in ballot for the General Election.

The leaders who represent us at City Hall shape the policies that impact the places we frequent, our neighborhoods, and our families’ day-to-day lives. Vote your values tomorrow, pray God-honoring candidates advance, and share our election resources with your friends and family!
