The NFA Daily Spotlight: Stop Predatory Gambling

This week on the Daily Spotlight, Karen interviews Les Bernal of Stop Predatory Gambling, who leads a national network of individuals and organizations, working to exposes the predatory nature of gambling. Les and our team testified at the Nebraska Legislature last week against three bills in the General Affairs Committee that would expand the state lottery and legalize all forms of gambling, including sports betting, casinos, slot machines, and internet gambling. In addition to targeting and exploiting the financially desperate and cultivating addiction, government-sanctioned gambling increases social costs. Gambling operators don’t pay for the harms they cause families, businesses, and communities. Taxpayers do.
