The NFA Daily Spotlight: Pass School Choice Tax Credits
On the Daily Spotlight this week, Karen visits with Tom Venzor of the Nebraska Catholic Conference about school choice in Nebraska and the value of giving parents the freedom to direct their child’s education. Nebraska is one of three states in the nation that has declined to pass any type of school choice legislation. LB 1202 would create a tax credit for private donations made to nonprofit scholarship granting organizations. The proposed legislation was heard in the Revenue Committee last week and has since been named a priority bill by Senator Linehan.
