The NFA Daily Spotlight: A Responsibility To Protect Children From Harmful Content And Ideologies

Senator Joni Albrecht joined the NFA Daily Spotlight this week to share her concerns—as a grandmother and a legislator—about the disturbing sexual content in the proposed health education standards. Recently, a coalition of 28 senators signed a letter urging the Nebraska State Board of Education to reject the politicized, age-inappropriate health education standards that would teach kindergarteners how to identify genitalia and about “sexual health,” same-gender families, and sexual identities. During the interim, Senator Albrecht and her colleagues are working to inform their constituents about the Nebraska Department of Education’s efforts to mandate ideologically motivated curriculum and mobilize parents to speak out in opposition.
