Election Day is here! Today is our chance to determine what the future of Nebraska will look like. We are called to defend the vulnerable among us, and as Christian citizens living in a democracy, we must participate in elections and vote for candidates and issues that reflect those values.
As you head to the polls, use the Nebraska Family Alliance Voter Guide to compare where the state and federal candidates stand on the issues, and refer to our resource pages to learn about the initiatives on your ballot. State election law allows you to take our election resources into the booth with you!
Key Ballot Measures
-
- Vote “For” Initiative 434 to establish baseline protections for preborn babies and preserve our state’s pro-life laws and parental notification requirements.
- Vote “Retain” Referendum 435 to allow low-income and special needs students to continue to receive educational scholarships to attend the school of their family’s choice.
- Vote “Against” Initiative 439 to reject a radical proposal that authorizes painful late-term dismemberment abortions and jeopardizes the safety of women and children.
The polls are open today from 8 AM to 8 PM CT (7 AM to 7 PM MT), and you must bring a valid photo ID with you to cast your ballot. If you still have an absentee ballot to return, don’t try to mail it. Bring it to your county’s election office before 8 PM CT (7 PM MT). All mail-in ballots must be in the possession of election officials tonight, regardless of the postmark date.
Thirteen months ago, the abortion industry announced they would put every resource they had into making Nebraska the next state to enshrine a constitutional right to abortion. But they never expected that thousands of courageous pro-life men and women would stand in their way.
Your faith and conviction, steadfast prayers, persistent advocacy, and continued support have given Nebraska the chance to be the first state to defeat the abortion industry and establish constitutional protections for the unborn.
Thank you for standing with us for family, freedom, and life.
