Our Pro-Life Vision For Nebraska

I will always remember November 30, 2021. On the eve of oral arguments for Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, I gathered with Nebraska Family Alliance (NFA) team members and hundreds of pro-life allies outside the U.S. Supreme Court. We prayed that God would move on the Justices’ hearts to reverse the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. After 49 years of government-approved abortion, we asked God for a miracle.

Our prayers were answered on June 24th when the U.S. Supreme Court unequivocally ruled there is no constitutional right to abortion and overturned Roe in full.

At this historic moment, there is no cause more important than affirming the right to life and establishing legal protections for the unborn! You were created for this exact time in history. Living in a post-Roe world means that every one of us has a role and responsibility to help build a society where abortion is not only illegal but unthinkable.

For the last several months, the NFA team has been meeting with elected leaders, sharing and planning our post-Roe vision for Nebraska. When the Legislature convenes at the start of the year, expect bold pro-life legislation that provides greater care for women and children and protects innocent human life.

Reflecting on this past year, NFA faced many challenges, but God was faithful. This year, we spoke boldly and winsomely in churches, the media, the public square, the airwaves, and the State Capitol, defending truth and advocating for Biblical values. We equipped families and churches with resources, halted harmful proposals, and organized several in-person events—including our annual Life and Liberty Gala with 1,200 attendees!

As the 2023 legislative cycle quickly approaches, we are committed to ensuring that Nebraska is a state where life is protected and religious freedom flourishes.
