Karen discusses Crossroads Walk with Joshua Denton

This week on NFA’s Daily Radio Program, Karen Bowling interviewed Josh Denton, a participant in this year’s Crossroad’s Walk, an annual pro-life walk across America.

Karen Bowling: Crossroads Walk is a movement of young people who are walking across the nation to be a public witness for life. Joining me today is Joshua Denton, who was a Crossroads walker last year. Josh what was one of the significant highlights from your walk last year?

Josh Denton: There’s so many to choose from but one of the best highlights was being able to tour a mobile clinic. During our regular weekends we spent time praying outside of abortion facilities and one day we were able to tour a mobile clinic and it was amazing to see the work that was being done through this ministry.

We were also told that a baby was saved that day because the mother had an ultrasound and decided to keep her baby after seeing that ultrasound. That was the main highlight because it was the only time where we knew for sure that a baby had been saved partially because of us.

But there were so many more highlights like getting to speak at churches every weekend, and share about our experiences and what we were doing. And even while we were walking along the side of the road, people would stop and ask us what we were doing, and we would be able to share with them why we were doing this. They were always just amazed at what we were doing.

Looking back over the whole summer, even though we only know for sure that one baby was saved, that makes the entire experience worth it.  

Karen Bowling: You know what comes to me, Josh, as you say that, it’s the power of the picture, the ultrasound, combined with the power of prayer. Josh Denton: So the easiest way to become a walker with crossroads is to visit www.crossroadswalk.org and there’s a brief application that you have to fill out. Once you fill that out someone from crossroads will get in contact with you.  It’s a once in a lifetime experience and everyone should do it at least once.
