The NFA Daily Spotlight: Educational Freedom Benefits Everyone

Nebraska is one of three states in the nation without any school choice. Dr. Corey DeAngelis of the American Federation for Children joins the Nebraska Family Alliance Daily Spotlight to correct several fabricated myths about school choice programs. This session, the Nebraska Legislature fell short of passing an important bill that would have established a tax credit for private donations to nonprofit scholarship granting organizations and provided educational opportunities for children from low-income families. Alternative education saves taxpayer dollars, supports the unique individual needs of students, and gives children access to the best possible education, regardless of their zip code. Nebraska lawmakers should start prioritizing students over systems.
