The NFA Daily Spotlight: Every Child Is A Precious Gift From God

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and Kathy Christensen, a mother to seven, joined the Nebraska Family Alliance Daily Spotlight to share about her family’s experience with Down syndrome. Both her son Isaiah and grandson Alex have Down syndrome. When their son Isaiah was born twenty-four years ago and unexpectedly diagnosed with Down syndrome in the delivery room, Kathy and her husband quickly embraced Isaiah’s special needs and learned how to care for Isaiah, with the entire family pitching in. Isaiah and Alex are tremendous blessings to not only Kathy but to everyone around them. Their smiles are infectious, and they are adored by every member of the family. This month, we remember that every child, regardless of the circumstance, is a precious gift from God.
