The Nebraska Legislature has officially adjourned for the year, and Nebraska Family Alliance Executive Director Karen Bowling and Policy Director Nate Grasz discuss the wins and highlights from the 2022 session. NFA offered testimony on 18 bills this spring. Every bill opposed by NFA was defeated, including proposals to expand abortion, force gender identity policies onto private businesses, and erase the words “husband and wife” from marriage laws in Nebraska. Elections have consequences, and the leaders we elect to represent us in the Unicameral determine the legislation that becomes state law.
