The NFA Daily Spotlight: Nebraska is a Pro-Life State

The people of Nebraska strongly believe that the right to life is an inalienable human right. Our state is pro-life, and recent legislation passed by the Nebraska Legislature reflects those pro-life values. On the Daily Spotlight this week, Karen speaks with Commissioner Dan Watermeier about his efforts in 2017 to pass the Choose Life License Plate bill while serving in the Legislature. The law passed, and the specialty plates can now easily be obtained from the State DMV. This year, another pro-life law is making its way through the Unicameral. LB 814 would put an end to the graphic, inhumane practice of dismemberment abortion. The bill has overcome multiple filibusters and other procedural hurdles during its progress through the legislative process.
