The NFA Daily Spotlight: Preparing Your Heart for Christmas

Tune in to the Daily Spotlight this week as we prepare our hearts and homes to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s easy to get swept up in preparing your Christmas lists, festive trimmings, and holiday baking. As Christians, though, we know the true meaning of Christmas. The term Advent is derived from the Latin word adventus, which means coming. During the Advent season, the church waits for and prepares for Christmas and the second coming of Christ. Whether you use Advent calendars or wreaths, the Advent period reminds believers to ready their hearts for the celebration of Jesus’ humble birth.
