The NFA Daily Spotlight: Senators Pass Landmark Pro-Life Bill

The Nebraska Legislature just passed LB 814 into law, and dismemberment abortion is no longer legal in Nebraska! On the Daily Spotlight this week, Senator Geist shares how she was compelled to introduce and prioritize the bill when she learned living, preborn children were being torn apart limb by limb in our state. Pro-abortion advocates raised nearly every procedural obstacle in an unsuccessful attempt to kill the bill. LB 814 overcame three filibusters, and ultimately, 33 senators affirmed that the brutal act of dismembering a live baby in the womb should be abolished in our state. We are so grateful for the courageous leadership of our pro-life senators, Senator Geist, and Governor Ricketts.
