The last few months have brought unforeseen and unprecedented challenges for all of us.

As a non-profit ministry, we are not immune to these challenges.

I wanted to provide you with a ministry update on what NFA has been up to the last few weeks. I hope you are encouraged by what God is doing through the ministry of NFA.

Amidst the difficulties of a health and economic crisis, obstacles are becoming opportunities, even during a pandemic.

If you have a few minutes, I encourage you to watch our video update, and continue reading below to see the impact of your support.

None of this would be possible without you. Your prayers and financial support for families and biblical values are felt even more deeply in times of crisis. During times like these, we need strong families and godly values more than ever because they bring hope to the world!

Give to Lincoln Day is a giving event that encourages you to contribute to Lincoln based nonprofits. Your gift will be matched between May 1st and May 28th. Would you prayerfully consider making a donation to continue the vital work of our ministry?

FIGHTING FOR LIFE

While Planned Parenthood pounced on the opportunity to exploit the current crisis to expand abortion through at home “self-managed abortions,” NFA has been hard at work fighting for lives of unborn children and the health and safety of women.

NFA rallied pro-life state lawmakers and joined with our national pro-life allies in calling on federal officials in the FDA and DHHS to prevent the abortion industry from skirting rules and expanding “virtual abortion.”

We also helped file an amicus brief in Federal Court supporting states who deemed abortion as not essential health care to prohibit elective abortions during the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was upheld by the 5th Circuit.

SUPPORTING FAMILIES & EQUIPPING CHURCHES

NFA has provided important resources to help churches, pastors, and families during the coronavirus. In fact, we’ve had 11,000 new users on our website in the last three months seeking information.

We have made it a priority to help equip pastors and their congregations to work well with government leaders for the good of their communities.

EMPOWERING VOTERS

NFA partnered with our Secretary of State to ensure Nebraska’s primary election could go on as scheduled with high voter participation. We used our radio platforms and digital media to help promote early voting, mail-in ballots, and increase voter registration.

The NFA Voter Guide equipped thousands of voters to make informed decisions by highlighting state and federal candidate positions on abortion, religious freedom, judicial nominations, school choice, and family values.

UNITING OUR STATE IN PRAYER

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do at NFA. Everyday, we are continuing to mobilize prayer for the vulnerable, medical professionals, government leaders, families, and churches.

On May 7th, NFA Hosted a National Day of Prayer statewide prayer call and virtual prayer service, which united more people across our state for National Day of Prayer than ever before.

Thank you for your partnership with NFA. Your support continues to advance our shared vision of a nation where God is honored, religious freedom flourishes, families thrive, and life is cherished.
