Promising & Concerning Bills with Nate Grasz
This week, I discuss some “Promising & Concerning” 2019 Legislative Bills with Policy Director, Nate Grasz. Promising bills, LB 141 would increase penalties if violence occurs against a pregnant woman recognizing that 2 lives can be lost and LB 154 addresses concerns regarding missing Native American women. Then deeply concerning bills, LB 167 & 168 would criminalize faith-based counseling as fraud and child abuse.
The Judiciary Committee will be hearing testimony regarding LB 167 & 168 this Thursday, February 7th. Here’s the link to let senators know you oppose these bills.
