The NFA Daily Spotlight: Boldly Standing For Life In Nebraska

State Senator Joni Albrecht joined the NFA Daily Spotlight to discuss two major pro-life bills she introduced to the Nebraska Legislature. This is the first time the Legislature has been in session since Roe v. Wade was overturned last summer, and Senator Albrecht, a mother and grandmother from Thurston, recognized the historic opportunity before her to support mothers and protect life in Nebraska.

LB 626, the Nebraska Heartbeat Act, would protect preborn babies in the womb by prohibiting abortion when a fetal heartbeat is present. This bill could stop 85% of abortions in Nebraska and save 2,000 lives every year! LB 606, the Pregnancy Help Act, is a tax credit bill to assist pregnancy help organizations that provide services that help women carry their pregnancy to term, encourage and enable parenting or adoption, and promote healthy childbirth.

We applaud Senator Albrecht for her courage to stand for life and bring this landmark legislation to our state. Join our email network to track the bills’ progress through the Legislature.
