The NFA Daily Spotlight: Biology Matters In Sports And Athletic Performance

Dr. Greg Brown joined the NFA Daily Spotlight to discuss why the proposed health education standards are unscientific and ignore important biological realities. Dr. Brown teaches exercise science and physiology at the University of Nebraska Kearney and is a member of the American Physiological Society. If approved, the standards proposed by the Nebraska Department of Education would teach schoolchildren in Nebraska that gender is fluid and sexual identity exists along a spectrum. Teaching children this type of unfactual, dangerous ideology creates confusion and issues in gender-specific preventative care and medical treatment. Men and women have unique, biological traits that make a difference in athletic abilities and performance. Health education should be about good hygiene and healthy living, not about pushing activist talking points in schools.
